Join Paula and be introduced to a foundational resting posture, Savasana.
Savasana is a Sanskrit word that translates to Corpse Pose. In Savasana, you lie down on your back and relax your body and mind. You can use props to support your body to find comfort. During this pose, you close your eyes, breathe naturally, and practice releasing tension from the body. Savasana is often used for relaxation at the end of an asana session, but it can be done alone to support relaxation and to renew energy levels. It can be used to do guided relaxations and is an important pose in Restorative Yoga.
Savasana can also be done from a chair if lying down isn’t accessible to you. Try cushions under your feet and lean back into a comfortable chair to feel supported.
